After gaining a BSc Hons in Equine Science at Hartpury University, Tamsin worked for Morrison Facilities Services, where she discovered a natural flare for communicating with tenants along with organising maintenance issues. Tamsin was then employed by an independent Cheltenham based letting agent where she not only flourished as the manager of the maintenance department but further enhanced her skills as a negotiator. Constantly achieving company targets Tamsin went onto develop her skills as a valuer. During this employment it became obvious how well Tamsin, and her then manager Sarah, functioned as a team. Several evenings of brain storming and Brookes Hall became more than just an idea.
Valuations & Negotiating
When Tamsin is not working (which is rare), she enjoys horse riding, attending rugby matches where she supports her partner playing second row at Cheltenham Rugby Club and eating chocolate.
After attending school in America, where Sarah remained on the schools honour roll throughout her senior year, she gained an array of qualifications including a High School Diploma, top 5% of American High School SAT’s leading to a place being offered at Smith University, BTEC Diploma, Member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and most oddly an OCR Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage Transport. After having her children Sarah joined an established Cheltenham residential letting agency as a member of the accounts department. She quickly grew to love the letting industry and later moved within the company to running the maintenance department. Sarah further developed her skills within the industry by managing another local agency along with attending various ARLA courses. An exciting opportunity arose several years ago for Sarah to join a new letting agent in Cheltenham where she spent three years managing the office. It’s here that Sarah interviewed and employed her now business partner, Tamsin. It was clear to Sarah what great potential Tamsin had and how right she was. Between them the idea of Brookes Hall was born.
Sarah has successfully passed the National Federation of Property Professionals Technical Award and is a member of the Association of Residential Lettings Agents. She is currently studying towards the National Federation of Property Professionals Diploma (DipRLM). This award covers both law and practice in residential lettings.
